Janet Sketchley is a Canadian author of Christian fiction and nonfiction. She is known for the Redemption’s Edge trilogy and her contributions to Canadian Christian publications.

Background

Sketchley was born in Nova Scotia. In 2022, Faith Today described Sketchley as a Canadian writer whose work incorporates mystery and Christian elements, and noting her participation in recreational fencing. Sketchley’s fiction includes the novels Heaven’s Prey (2013), Secrets and Lies (2014), and Without Proof (2015). Her work has also been discussed in the context of Christian-themed writing in Canada. In 2015, Sketchley contributed to the Canadian Christian anthology Hot Apple Cider with Cinnamon. Sketchley has written for the Edmonton Journal, including articles on childhood prayer and depictions of suffering in Christian art.

Janet Sketchley has also published book reviews; for example, in 2011, she reviewed Donna Dawson's novel Rescued, describing it as an informative and thought-provoking work that balances human-interest storytelling with suspense fiction.

Rebecca "Rebb" Ford is a Canadian video game designer, voice actress, and musician. She was named one of Forbes' 2020 30 Under 30 in Games.

Life and career

Ford attended the University of Western Ontario. In 2011, she joined Digital Extremes as an intern. Ford rose through the ranks at Digital Extremes, becoming Creative Director of Warframe in February 2022.

Ford also serves as the voice actress for the Lotus, one of Warframe's central characters.

Ford is also a musician, playing the bass. In 2025, Ford was the bassist for the band at Tennoconcert, an event at Tennocon, Warframe's yearly fan convention.

Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School (ESNCHS) is located in Borongan, Eastern Samar, Philippines. Formerly named Borongan National High School, Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School was shortly established after the issuance of Republic Act No. 4221 in 1965, which divided the old province of Samar into three provinces: Western Samar (now simply known as Samar), Eastern Samar and Northern Samar." ESNCHS is the largest high school in Eastern Samar in terms of both population and school area size. It is also considered the flagship high school of Eastern Samar.

Campus

One of the most notable features of the high school is its oval, the school park, the gymnasium, the DOST laboratory, the computer laboratory, and the administration building.

Organizations

Among the most notable organizations within ESNCHS are:

  • ESNCHS Rondalla – It enjoyed championships in the whole Eastern Visayas Region and represented it a couple of times in the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) Finals held in the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Manila.
  • ESNCHS Ensemble – It was able to send many competitors to the NAMCYA Finals in Manila getting spots in 3rd Place and the semi-finals.
  • ESNCHS Speakers' Guild – Recently revived last 2006, the ESNCHS Speakers’ Guild once enjoyed a 10-year undefeated feat in the Provincial Choral Speech Championships from 1991 - 2000. The Guild disbanded a few months after winning the title. It won the title once again last year after its recent revival.
  • ESNCHS Drum and Lyre Corps – One of the clubs which ESNCHS is much known for. Enjoyed a 9-year dominance in the Provincial Drum and Lyre Corps Championships from 1994 - 2002. The ESNCHS DLC disbanded around early 2003 and was revived last 2007. Last year, it won again the said title after its revival.
  • ESNCHS Music Theatre – Established 2006, its members and trainers were from many different clubs of the high school who worked together in competing for the First Rizal National Festival of Excellence Music Theatre Competition. It had to win the District, Provincial, Regional and the Island Group (Visayas) championships for it to be able to join the National Finals held at the GSIS Theatre in Pasig, Metro Manila. The group was among the finalists and landed 4th place.
  • ESNCHS Shuttlers (badminton team) – Established 2004, it immediately was able to send participants to the Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association Finals. Last 2007, it clinched for the first time the overall championship in the said games winning 4 of 5 slots, giving the chance to represent the region in the Palarong Pambansa (National Games) in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
  • ESNCHS SSLG - The ESNCHS SSLG is the student government that represents all students, promotes their welfare, organizes school activities, fosters leadership, encourages active participation, and bridges communication between students and administration.
  • ESNCHS The Courier - The ESNCHS The Courier is the school's English publication. It reports on events, shares opinions, and promotes student journalism, creativity, critical thinking, and community engagement within the school.
  • ESNCHS Ang Sinag - The ESNCHS Ang Sinag is the school's Filipino-language publication, reporting on events, sharing opinions, and promoting student journalism, cultural pride, and community engagement through writing in the Filipino language.
