Davey Magras (born July 8, 1967) is an American professional stock car racing driver who last competed part-time in the ARCA Menards Series West, driving the No. 14 Chevrolet for Davey Magras Racing.

Racing career

Magras' No. 14 car at Sonoma Raceway in 2025 Prior to his ARCA career, Magras had previously competed in SCCA in the GT3 category, and competed in the NASCAR Weekly Series from 1998 to 2002 at Tucson Speedway. He had also worked as a crew member for Jerry Pitts Racing.

In 2022, it was announced that Magras would make his debut in the ARCA Menards Series West at Portland International Raceway in September, driving his self-owned No. 14 Chevrolet. In his debut race, he qualified eleventh and finished on the lead lap in seventh place.

In 2023, Magras returned to the series at Portland, where after placing eighteenth in the lone practice session, he qualified in nineteenth and finished on the lead lap in ninth place. He then ran the following race at Sonoma Raceway, where after placing 28th in the lone practice session, he qualified in 25th and finished two laps down in sixteenth place.

In 2025, Magras returned to the series in Sonoma, where after placing 21st in the practice session, he qualified for nineteenth place and finished three laps down in fifteenth place. In the Portland 112 at Portland International Raceway, Magras brought the No. 14 Advanced Autoworks/Koerner Racing Engines Chevrolet home in 11th place, one lap down from the leader.

Privateer Advocacy

Magras competes with Davey Magras Racing, a small, family-run team commonly described as a privateer operation. Go Full Throttle Racing News characterizes the team as “a small, family-run team, sometimes called a privateer in the racing world,” noting its participation in NASCAR-affiliated events on road courses such as Sonoma and Portland despite competing against significantly larger teams. This description reflects Magras’s emphasis on maintaining access to stock-car racing for independently funded, non-corporate teams.

In a 2025 interview on Motorsports Nation with Bob Francis, Magras discussed regulatory challenges facing privateer teams in the ARCA Menards Series West, noting that he was working with Jerry Pitts Racing and other privateer competitors to advocate for the continued eligibility of 105-inch wheelbase cars amid concerns raised by a then-current rule supplement.

Amendments to the ARCA Menards Series Rule Book effective beginning in the 2025 season and carried into the 2026 ARCA Rule Book approved 105-inch wheelbase vehicles for competition in ARCA West events, including stand-alone short-oval races and road course events, subject to specified measurement tolerances and engine requirements. This regulatory update expanded participation options for smaller-chassis teams within the regional series.

The 105-inch wheelbase cars referenced in ARCA West competition are shorter-wheelbase stock cars historically used in regional NASCAR and ARCA series, particularly on road courses and short tracks, and are distinct from the 110-inch wheelbase Generation 4 NASCAR Cup Series cars.

Personal life

Magras is based in Phoenix, Arizona and his son, Zach Magras, serves as his crew chief in the ARCA Menards Series West competition.

Power consumption is becoming increasingly important for both embedded, mobile computing and high-performance systems. Off-chip data bus consumes a significant part of system power. It is observed that the off-chip data bus consumes between 9.8% and 23.2% of the total power consumed by the system depending on the system. So, reducing the power consumption of the off-chip data bus would reduce the overall power consumption.
