Elephantball is a sport similar to volleyball. However, elephantball has several teams separated by several volleyball nets arranged in a star (also known as "hub-and-spoke") pattern around a centric hub, and the ball is much larger. Play starts with someone flinging the ball over the net into another team's area. Teams can hit the ball as many times as they want as they attempt to volley it over the net into another team's area. Due to the size and mass of the ball, cooperation among several players is often needed to do this. Hitting it out of bounds or under the net or allowing it to touch the ground in one's area causes a point to get scored against that team. Teams are eliminated if enough points (e.g. 10) are scored against them; that team then leaves the court. If the ball is hit into an eliminated team's area, then the team that hit it into that area has a point scored against them. The last team left wins.
