Zorya Fine Art is an art gallery based in Greenwich, Connecticut, specializing in Ukrainian art, both contemporary art and 20th century art.

Zorya Fine Art brings a bold new perspective to the art world. A distinctive aspect of the program is the presentation of emerging and established Ukrainian artists. Zorya Fine Art CREATES a context for the understanding and appreciation of their creative effort, through historical and thematic exhibitions that bring to the forefront the significance and range of their work. Founded in 2003 by Zorianna L. Altomaro, Zorya Fine Art is dedicated to drawing international attention to Ukrainian art.

Erroneously considered an appendage of Russian and Soviet culture and neglected in the West for a long time, Ukraine’s art history is an important part of world art history, both in its modern expression and in the enduring legacies of traditional cultures reaching back several millennia. Zorya Fine Art pursues a comprehensive policy of bringing Ukrainian art to the wider general audience and seeks to establish and develop a significant market presence for it. It was the first to introduce Ukrainian art at Sotheby’s with paintings by Vasyl Krychevsky, the founder and first president of the prestigious Ukrainian Academy of Arts in Kiev, Ukraine. The gallery’s curatorial direction and focus on the art of Ukraine expand the borders of our knowledge of contemporary art.

The gallery cooperates with the Zorya, Inc. Foundation, also based in Greenwich, CT, and currently headed by Dr. Vitaly Chernetsky. The Zorya, Inc., Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing and inspiring awareness of the richness of Ukrainian history, culture, art and the sciences.
