ZoomCall Pro:
ZoomCall Pro is a videoconferencing software for Microsoft Windows operating system. The service allows making point-to-point and multi-point video calls from laptop or desktop computers, and supports basic online document collaboration.
The service is developed, owned and distributed by Visicron Systems, Inc. – an IT company headquartered in Maryland, USA. The company specializes in videoconferencing and video streaming products and in order to overcome the common problem with bandwidth fluctuations, developed a new video codec -CycloneTM with a bandwidth-scalable architecture based on wavelets. Today, CycloneTM is still considered to be one of the most powerful video codecs on the market, however, the ZoomCall service is facing growing competition from other providers that also offer high quality video calling with high speed internet connections
Features:
- ZoomCall users are able to place video calls to each other using their email addresses. This type of dialing is supposed to be easier, since it doesn’t require knowledge of IP addresses.
- ZoomCall is expected to deliver clear video picture and transmits data with little or no latency with internet connection of 128 kbit/s and above, however, the quality is not guaranteed if the speed drops below that rate.
- The software is expected to support videoconferences with two-way video, audio, and chat for up to six participants. However, the participants will not have access to the webcollaboration features, such as File Transfer, Whiteboard and Slide Show that are only supported for one-on-one video calling.
