Zero option (band)
Zero Option are a rock band from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England.
Zero Option were formed in the early 80s and transformed into Never as their music progressed with the decade. During this period the band went through several line up changes which included Paul Cox; Vocals, Guitar & Keyboards, Geoff Rushton; Keyboards, Rhythm Programming, Bass Guitar and Vocals. Jeff Warwick; Keyboards & Vocals. Bill Rushton; Bass Guitar & Vocals. Paul Rushton; Vocals & Keyboards. Dave (Sid) McCormack; Vocals, Keyboards & Percussion. Peter Short; Drums.
Paul, Geoff & Bill have been re-mastering songs from every period of the bands history and intend to re-master at least 20 tracks of their extensive playlist over the coming months with accompanying video.
Zero Option toured extensively throughout Northern England from 1981 to 1996 performing their set in most venues and festivals in the area. They recorded "Emerald Isle" for the Metal 88 album in Middlesbrough after winning a Battle of the Bands competition with "GDR Music".
