Züca
Züca (also spelled Zuca) is a brand of rolling bag.
A Züca is rolling gear bag consisting of a rugged aluminum external frame with an integrated seat (usable as a seat for up to 300 pounds) and an interchangeable removable bag attached to the frame on the inside. A Zuca also has flashing wheels, and a second set of wheels which help transport the rolling bag over curbs and stairs.
Züca bags come in three main types: the Züca Sport, as described above; the ZuZüca pet carrier; and the Züca Pro travel model, which has only one set of recessed wheels, extra handles, and a custom bag.
While the Sport model was intended to fit in aircraft overhead bins, the protruding wheels obstruct this in many aircraft. It fits in the overhead bins of Boeing 737 NG (-600, -700, -800, -900, -900ER) aircraft as well as under the seats of MD-80 series aircraft and all 737 series aircraft with the wheels facing towards one's seat.
A hallmark of the Züca brand has been the interchangeability the system provides. The frame and the bag may be bought together or separately, and one may swap out the bags at anytime, allowing the user to personalize the system. For this reason the company produces special editions and seasonal colours. This also allows one frame to function as both a pet carrier (with the ZuZüca insert) and a normal Züca bag. The Pro model does not feature the same degree of interchangeability, partially due to its youth.
Thanks to the Züca bag's exploding popularity in the Figure Skating community, the company now produces special edition Züca bags for sale at the U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships and other venues as well. In addition the company helps struggling skating clubs by allowing "Züca fundraisers," where profits are shared.
