Yo amo a Paquita Gallego

Yo amo a Paquita Gallego (I love Paquita Gallego) is loosely based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and is a Spanish language telenovela. The serial drama features the typical love-hate scenarios found in primetime television soap operas. It aired between 1998 and 1999 and starred Cristina Umaña and Andres Juan as lovers set against Victoria Gongora as the primary antagonist.

Plot

It all began in 1970 when Soledad Gallego was enoying a corralejawhen 3 men Sebastian club owner Antonio who works in the stationary and Horacio the butcher tried to lure at first then tried to get a ride for her but she was reluctant and she was to go home right away but those three men force her and to be with them and they sexually assault her leaving her scarred, hurful and bitter because she wasn't expecting that child. Paquita was born without crying in a not so indicated time that leaves the hatred between Carolina Hidalgo and Soledad. Javier Hidalgo the one true love was worried about her but her mother Carolina says that she was a [...] and does now who is the father of that child but he grew tired of her. Soledad lost the intererst to raise and nuture the child as a mother of Paquita she grows with her islotation and bitterness. Chavela Vargas a fortuneteller and Paquita and Soledad's aunt was an old lady does not need a man in her side to provide for Soledad and Paquita but Soledad stills quiet about her [...] but Chavela tries to take information to know who is Paquita's real father but she refueses to tell her. Javier desperate and alone has no choice but marry Margarita.
