Ya Horng Electronic Co., Ltd. (, ), is a manufacturing company that has a history of producing audio equipment, home appliances, and health care products. Founded in 1972, the company started out in Tainan, Taiwan before soon expanding overseas in both Penang, Malaysia and Dong Guan, China.　

History

The company started out as JYH HORNG before eventually changing its name to YA HORNG in 1985. The first product that the company came out with was the 5" Turntable, which eventually led them to produce audio equipment. Five years later, the company started production and moved their contstruction to the headquarters, Tainan City and produced the Strobo turntable with DC servo motor. After getting settled with audio production for a couple years, home appliances emerged as the next structure that the company wanted to overcome. Starting out with rechargeable can openers and food processors, the company secured its place in the home appliance sector. Eventually, the company geared itself toward a more health conscious group of people and started coming out with health care products and also made their products more environmentally safe to attract more people.

Ya Horng manufactures and sells audio and electronic products. It offers audio electronic products, such as turntable, CD player, mini disc player, Midi Hi-Fi, CD mechanism, 3CD rotary changer, mixer, amplifier, and digital signal processor. The company also provides midi belt drive turntables, direct drive DJ turntables, exclusive DJ turntables, DJ mixers, 3-disc CD changers, CDJ players, 5-disc CD changers, and multimedia players. In addition, it provides original equipment manufacturing, original design manufacturing, and contract manufacturing services. YA Horng Electronic maufactures its products primarily in Malaysia, Taiwan, and China.

Recently, Yahorng merged with Kunitakara Electric Co., Ltd. located in Taiwan on January 2007.

Control Core Components
To obtain maximum quality control and special function demand, YA HORNG produces the key parts such as CD loader for CD player, direct driving motor for turntable and home appliances, and we have our own DSP control software.

International Scope
To achieve maximum efficiency, YAHORNG established foreign plants in Malaysia and China.

Plants

China

The branch in China was opened in 1989 in Dong Guan. Specializing in home appliances, this branch of Yahorng has the materials required to produce the appliances as well as gear the products in a more eco-friendly area. In 2003, the factory branch of Dong Guan was established working primarily with audio products. In order to keep cost rivalry, the company produced high quality products at a quick rate with facilities such as a "full service injection machine, PCB SMT machine, as well as all the assembly procedures." The productivity of the company led to a large force in the group of companies.

Malaysia

The Malaysia branch was established in 1989. Providing audio products to consumers, this branch of the company has laid a "strong foundation in its core businesses that are Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM), Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) and Contract Manufacturing Service Provider, in manufacturing of Audio Electronic Products such as Turntables, CD Players, Mixers". Recently, Malaysia is starting to manufacture IT and digital products. Being traded on the stock exchange, the company has generated a lot more revenue.

Taiwan

The headquarters of the company are located in Tainan. Being the first branch established, the company holds its Research and Development teams here. There are also quality control rooms held here, which tests products before they are released into production. The quality line moves from research and development to quality control by means of evaluation and production. In 2002, Ya Horng was listed on an OTC exchange board in Taiwan. In 2004, Ya Horng went public, being listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

Products

Audio
The efforts used to make the technology and achieve a type of differentiation for competitiveness help satisfy the requirement for the audio market. Selling both DJ equipment as well as other types of key technology has helped the company expand. Other types of audio technology include CDs, MP3 music, and USB storage.

Health Care
Products in this line include blood pressure monitors, oral irrigators, and electronic toothbrushes. Because of the rising concern in health care, many people are looking towards different types of ways to improve themselves. Although the establishment of the health care appliances came later than other divisions, the company has used research and development to push themselves toward developing their goal.

Appliances
Electric home appliances have been developed for a long time for everyday use as well as for more advanced people. Other appliances have also been produced besides kitchen products, such as an air purifier, heater, and dehumidifier after the merger of Kunitakara Group with Yahorng.
