X Factor World Teens Edition

The X Factor is an World television reality music competition, based on the original UK series, to find new singing talent; the winner of which receives a Sony Music USA recording contract.[1] The first series premiered on 13 April 2014 on the Seven Network.[2] Ed Sheeran returned as host, while Bella Ferraro And Nicholas McDonald are judges.[3] This was the first season of The X Factor World to feature Teens have two categories.

Auditions[edit] Open auditions in front of the show's producers took place in 13 cities[5][6] and ran from November 2013 to January 2014.[5] Online and DVD auditions were also held for those who could not attend the open auditions.[7] The auditionees chosen by the producers were invited back to the last set of auditions that took place in front of the judges and a live studio audience. These auditions were filmed at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne on 4, 5 and 6 April, and at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney on 9, 10, 11 and 12 April.[8]
