Wunderwall
Wunderwall is a product of Wunderworks, a Dutch company. The Wunderwall makes it possible to use multiple pointers (mouse) on the same screen/computer. During a meeting for instance several people can take over the screen at any given moment with their own pointer. The Wunderwall itself was a big screen with a lot of technical devices on the backside that registered the movement of the pointers. After a few years of development the Wunderwall is now available as a simple software plugin. This is all possible thanks to the MUSL principle (Multi-User, Single Location). Instead of the Wunderwall itself users can just install the plugin and use multiple WunderPoints, the pointers developed for this software, on any computer. Take one PC, and one large screen and have any member of your group navigate and use through the on-screen software at the same time.
The following lines are quoted from their website
“Since the dawn of men, people play together and work together. Since the dawn of computers they play and work alone. Every user either sits behind his own screen, or there’s no place for communal computer collaboration during a meeting. A PC only has one mouse/keyboard and is not suited for facilitating more users to cooperate at the same time.”
The Wunderwall changed that and there is a lot to be expected of this innovative development.
