Worldwide Cage Network
The Worldwide Cage Network (WCN) are a group of mixed martial arts promotions from around the world who have come together to cooperate.
Aims
The first objective for the WWCN will be the liberal exchange of foreign talent. An eight-man tournament with international WWCN representatives is already planned for Cage Warriors in November. In the future, rule unification for the WWCN body may take place.
GCM representatives have also stated that the ultimate goals of the union are to foster the development of fighters on the international stage, and have as well mentioned the idea of the WWCN acting as a means to facilitate the promotion of international talent to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
In order to accomplish these goals, GCM also announced changes in their original DOG rules by eliminating the use of knees attacks on the ground, and introducing a set of rules mirror the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts utilized by United States athletic commissions. The promotion explained the decision was taken in order to model Cage Force under similar rules as those used by the UFC
