Wolfram Wittekind
Wolfram Wittekind (born in Hilden) is a German operatic tenor and church musician.
Wittekind grew up in Wanne-Eickel and studied Protestant church music and singing at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf from 1992 to 1994. He passed his singing exam with distinction.
He won the Orpheus Prize for young singers at the Bad Hersfelder Festspiele in 1994 as Don José (Carmen). Wittekind sings in the Italian repertoire at various opera houses in Germany, including Hagen, Potsdam, Brandenburg and Eisenach. Another focus of his artistic activity is oratorio. Concert tours have taken him to Italy, Israel, Vietnam and the USA.
