Winter Dew Tour 2008-09
The Winter Dew Tour debuted in December 2008 and is a three-stop snowboard and freeski series. There are three major, multi-discipline events with a cumulative points system, and $1.5 million up for grabs based on contest results and year-end standings.
With stops at Breckenridge Ski Resort (Breckenridge, Colo., Dec. 18-21), Mount Snow Resort (West Dover, Vt., Jan. 8-11) and Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort (Lake Tahoe, Calif., Feb. 19-22), the 2008-09 Winter Dew Tour ran from December through February and crowned six Dew Cup champions at Season's End.
Results
- Results below are based on totals added up for the entire year. Top Five for each category shown only.
Based on points accumulated throughout the year, the Winter Dew Tour honored four Athletes of the Year in addition to crowning Dew Cup winners. The Athlete of the Year accolade was shared by Shaun White and Tanner Hall on the men's side and by Kelly Clark and Spencer O'Brien for the women.
Snowboard: Superpipe
With a different winner at each of the three stops of the 2008-09 Winter Dew Tour (Danny Davis, Shaun White and Mason Aguirre; Gretchen Bleiler, Kelly Clark and Torah Bright), the points race was tight in both the men's and women's snowboard superpipe standings. Shaun White and Kelly Clark, both winners in Mount Snow, each needed to finish on the podium at season's end to claim the Dew Cup. White claimed third place and the year-end title, while Clark cinched her Dew Cup with a second-place showing at the final event in Northstar-at-Tahoe.

Snowboard: Slopestyle
Just like in superpipe, Shaun White led the pack on the men's side of things after winning the first event of the season in Breckenridge. Despite two first-place finishes by Torstein Horgmo at Mount Snow and Northstar, White's consistency proved too much, and he claimed the Dew Cup in slopestyle as well. A similar story took place for the women. Jamie Anderson took The Title at the final two stops of the season, but it was Spencer O'Brien, who claimed the victory in Breckenridge and a pair of second-place finishes to close out the season, who took the overall title and the Dew Cup.

Freeski: Superpipe
With just ten points separating the top three in the men's ski superpipe standings going into the Toyota Championship, it was down to Tanner Hall, Justin Dorey and Simon Dumont in the race for the Cup. Hall eked out the victory over Dumont, claiming the year-end title and a piece of Winter Dew Tour history.

Freeski: Slopestyle
Just like in superpipe, it was winner take all on the slopestyle course. With three different winners at each of the three Winter Dew Tour stops - Bobby Brown, JF Houle and Tom Wallisch - the race was tight for the Dew Cup. But consistency ruled the day as PK Hunder laid claim to the year-end prize.
