William J. Kyte
William Joseph Kyte (born November 9, 1942) is an American businessman known locally within the Kansas City area. He is Chairman of Whomp LLC and Former founder, CEO and Principal Stockholder of Roanoke Capital Management.
Kyte attended the University of Arizona until 1965 when he returned to his native Kansas City, MO. Since then he has developed a 40+ year entrepreneurial career in distribution, manufacturing and product development.
The last company created, Roanoke Companies was purchased by the H. B. Fuller Company N.Y.S.E in 2006 which sold for $285,000,000. Whilst at Roanoke Companies, Kyte also invented and attained patents D472,787 and US 7,241,828 B2.
Kyte is on the National Board of Advisors for the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. In June 1993 he was awarded a Certificate of Achievement from the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
He is married to Julie Kyte who is on the Board of Advisors at MD Anderson. They have two children, Peter and Courtney.
