Wikirank.net (or WikiRank) is a Web service for automatic relative evaluation and comparison of the articles in the various language versions of .
The first mention of the service in scientific works was in 2015. One of the researches that describes the results of the quality assessment using the WikiRank service was recognized as one of the most important findings of and other Wikimedia projects in 2017-2018.
The distinctive feature of the service is that it allows assess quality and popularity of articles by a scale from 0 to 100 as a result of synthetic measure calculation. This simplifies the comparison of the articles language versions, which can have various grading schemes and assessment standards. To obtain quality and popularity grades, WikiRank uses different important normalized measures, such as text length, number of references, sections, images and number of visits.
In the beginning, the service allowed to compare the quality of articles in 7 language versions. Now the service can evaluate articles in more than 50 major language editions of .
WikiRank is used also for didactic purposes in various higher educational institutions (such as the University of Warsaw).
Scores provided by WikiRank used in quality assessment of infoboxes. It is possible to download data sets with WikiRank scores for over 37 million articles.
In November 2018 service started using data from DBpedia and Wikidata to show information from various thematic ratings. In May 2019 WikiRank provided new measures (such as local and global popularity) with historical values and published open data sets with quality, popularity and AI measures for over 39 million articles.
