Wendy Wilde

Wendy Wilde (her legal name is Wendy Pareene) is a long Time Radio host and community activist, and was the 2006 Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party-endorsed candidate for the United States House of Representatives representing the state's 3rd District.

Wilde and her husband Michael Pareene founded the 501(c)(3) nonprofit teen center Twin Cities Underground, that the couple operated in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 2001 to 2007 with the help of dozens of other adult and teen community volunteers. The teen center recorded paid attendance of more than 12,000 at its weekend teen music events that featured live local high school bands and performers from across the Twin Cities metro area.

Wendy Wilde is stepmother to Wonkette blogger Alex Pareene.

Wendy Wilde was the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party-endorsed candidate for the United States House of Representatives representing the state's 3rd District in 2006. (map). The district, the state's wealthiest, includes most of the western portion of the Twin Cities area, including cities such as Bloomington, Plymouth, Wayzata, Eden Prairie and Brooklyn Park. The seat has been held by Jim Ramstad since 1991.
