Waqas Ahmad Khan Pitafi is a Pakistani entrepreneur, best known as the founder and CEO of DevBatch. Waqas has contributed to the Mobile Enterprise and Mobile Application Development of several notable startup companies.

Early life and education

After graduating from Institute of Management Sciences, in Lahore, Pakistan in 1999, Waqas moved to London to attend University of Liverpool, where he majored in Information Security.

Professional Career

Waqas has worked for various leading organizations of the world including Emirates (airline), Hamad Medical Corporation, GTFS, Pioneer House LLC, CSOFT International. He worked as Project Manager in Emirates Airlines for 2 Years.

DevBatch

Waqas Started DevBatch in 2010 with team of 2 from a small compartment and is currently leading the team of 30 top developers, designers, project managers and QA specialists. His passion for entrepreneurship led him to start providing end-to-end mobile and web development solutions to the small and medium sized companies and firms. DevBatch is all AbOUT Enterprise Mobility and is working with the mission to make “complicated” simple.

Was placed on Dean's Honour Roll throughout BCS at Institute of Management Sciences, Lahore.

Was awarded honorary scholarship during BCS at Pak-Aims for outstanding academic achievements.

Delivered Session on Entrepreneurship in Mobile Applications Development to the students of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.

Microsoft Gulf awarded plaque for early adoption of Windows 7 at Emirates Airline.

Managed a project to replace Health Card system of People of Qatar

Personal life

Waqas is of Pakistani descent. He is the happy husband and father of two children.
