Walter Bublé
Walter Glenn BUBLé (pronounced Boo-blay) was born in 1962 in Queens, New York. He is an artist specializing in firefighting art. He produces open and limited edition prints based on his original oil on canvas paintings. He also produces American Civil War canvas prints.
Bublé's firefighting work depict the firefighters and apparatus of fire departments in northeastern United States. His work covers the Fire Department of New York (City), Philadelphia Fire Department, Chicago Fire Department, Ithaca Fire Department, as well as various volunteer fire departments. His work can be found in the American Museum of Firefighting in Hudson, New York. The New York State Fire Academy also holds limited edition prints of his entire collection in its collection at Montour Falls, New York. Upcoming works depict Boston Fire Department and the FDNY Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Band.
In addition to studying art in New York City at the Art Students League, Bublé holds a Masters in Sociology from Fordham University and a Jurist Doctor from Cornell Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Bublé's interest in firefighting art stems from his life-long interest in firefighting and his service as a volunteer firefighter in upstate New York. He volunteers with the Danby Volunteer Fire Company where he is a New York State certified interior firefighter, First Responder, and apparatus operator. He has also served as an Assistant Chief, Assistant Rescue Director, and Recruitment Director.
