Walri (band)
Walri is a rock band from Rochester, New York, formed in 2006. The quartet consists of Amos Rosenstein (guitars, lead vocals), Chris Coon (keyboards, vocals), Geoff Saunders (bass, vocals), and Dave Goebel (drums).
History
While studying physics at The University of Rochester, Amos Rosenstein met Chris Coon. The two began playing in various music projects together, also alongside other Rochester musicians. In 2006, seeking a new MusicAL path, the duo teamed up with Geoff Saunders and Dave Goebel and began writing and playing under the name Walri. In 2008, the band completed their self-produced full length-debut, Paper Crane. Well-known for their impressive live performances, the band has earned a strong following both in and around their Rochester community. The band has a performed alongside a number of renowned artists, including Reel Big Fish, Ben Lee, and Dr Dog. Walri continues to reside and perform in Rochester and have begun work on their second full-length album.
