Wairau Intermediate School is a coeducational intermediate (middle) school with a roll of 316 and a decile of eight (8). . The school is on Becroft Drive, Forrest Hill.
How the school is set up
The school is set up in blocks, like any other school in the Forrest Hill/Sunnynook area, but they aren't 4 walled classrooms. Instead, all the classes are joined together.
The classrooms do have outer walls (of course).
As a student, I (the creator of this page), write that it is very noisy sometimes.
All blocks are like this (except for Block 4, which is now used as a Technology Class/ESOL block).

This is a website (created by the creator of this page), to show Block 1 to the world. It is a small site, but it has a good homepage. Not finished yet, but it will be soon (actually, as soon as my teacher lets me do it (from after lunch till 2:50 PM (10 minutes before home time; but not on Tuesdays). Visit it here
Technology Class-What it is:
Technology Class, or Tech (T/C), is when we do activities around the school, like Visual Art, Cooking, Metal Technology, and Music.
Unfortunately, we have lost 2 Techs/Opportunitys-Fabric & Electronics. The person who taught it, retired :(.
Anyway, Technology Class is F U N!
Subjects
The Main Subjects at Wairau Intermediate School include:
Maths, Specialist, Technology, Block Sport, P.E., Grammar to go, Reading,
Spelling, Mathletics, SSR, Library, Poetry (occasionally) and more. If you don't know
what Mathletics is, here is your answer: It is part of our homework. We log on at school and/or home, play on it for ages. Then, in the weekend (or Friday, before school), the teachers check the score, and if it is 0-990, the person gets an after-school detention.
Only Block one has block singing every Wednesday. Each and every student can bring in their
own music and the teachers will find the lyrics for the song.
