Wackee Six

Wackee Six is a card game from Wackee International. Wackee Six is for 2-12 players, 6 solo players or 6 sets of 2 person teams. The Wackee Six card game includes six decks of cards, each with two wild card and 52 numbered cards 1-13 in 4 different suits. There are 6 different colors on the back of the decks, one color for each player or team.

Object Of The Game

The object of the game is to get the most points and to be the first player or team to 'go out.' This is done by playing all 12 of the main cards originally dealt to you. While that is being done, you, or a partner, want to turn your remaining deck as fast as you can, and play as many cards onto the piles in the middle of the table as possible. Wackee Six is a game of simultaneous play, there is no taking turns.

Players

Each player or team receives their own deck. Tems consist of 2 people but only one deck per team. One partner is responsible to control and play out all of the 6 cards dealt face up and the 6 that are dealt face down. The other partner is responsible for the remaining deck and tries to play out as many points (cards) as possible by going through the deck over and over, turning 3 cards at a time and playing the top card of each 3.

Dealing

Shuffle all card decks thoroughly. Each player or team deals 12 cards on the table, 6 cards face up and side by side, and 6 cards face down in a single pile. The remainder of the deck remains face down in the player’s hand, or is given to the partner.

Playing The Game

Once the cards have been dealt each team needs to decide who will handle the 12 dealt cards, and who will handle the remaining deck. Once everyone is ready, a chosen player gets to start the game by saying "Let's get Wackee!" and everyone begins to play at once.

The partner (if playing teams) handling the deck holds the deck in one hand face down and with the other hand quickly take the top 3 cards, turn them over and slaps them down on the table. If you can play the 3rd card (now on top) then play it on one of the middle piles. This process is then repeated again and again (1-2-3 turn over, 1-2-3 turn over, etc…) and play the cards as you can. You can only play the card that is showing first. Digging through the deck is not allowed. Only the card on top of the pile is eligible for play. Once the top card of the three has been played, then the next card below it is eligible for play. If the top showing card can not be played out on a pile, then continue turning over the next three and the next as fast as possible in order to get to a card that can be played.

A pile can only be started by a number 1 card (not a wild) All pile in the middle can be played on by every player or team. They do not need to be piles that you personally started. The cards that each person or team plays in the middle counts as a point at the end of the game.

The other aspect of the game is the 12 cards originally dealt. Each player or team must play as may of the original 12 cards as fast as possible. After playing one of the 6 'face up' cards, replace it with one of the 6 'face down' cards. There should always be 6 cards face up on the table until they are all played.

Once a number 1 is played, the color of that card determines the color of that pile. The pile color can not be changed once started. So only a blue can be played on blue, green on green etc.. Piles are built upwards from 1-13 in sequence. Once the 13 is played the pile is done and moved aside to allow for more playing room. Note: WILD cards may replace any color and any number EXCEPT the number 1. A WILD card must be accompanied by the next consecutive number; they can not be played alone.

Finishing A Round

A round is finished when a player or team has played all 12 of the cards originally dealt to them. At this point the player or team says 'Wackee Six' in order to stop play for the round. Each player or team must keep their 'deck' (the 1,2,3 cards)cards separated from the cards in the middle of the table. Also each team must keep track of how many of the original 12 cards are left un-played.

Scoring

At the end of the round each of the 12 main cards, left un-played from the original deal, will count as 2 points against that player or team. Turn all cards in the middle piles of the table over so that they are face down. This makes it easy to separate the cards into each player or teams colors. Return the cards in each color, back to the player or team using that deck color. Count how many cards each team played by adding 1 point for each card played. Bonus: The player or team that is the first to 'go out' each round receives a 10-point bonus.

Playing Another Round

After tallying points, cards are again shuffled and 12 new cards to each player or team. Rounds are played until an agreed upon target score is reached (i.e. 300 points etc).
