Vultress
"Vultress" is the 2nd album by the progressive rock band Cosmic Nomads, based in Melbourne, Australia. Released on 1st February 2007 through Majique Records. Ray Vanderby is the founding memember of Cosmic Nomads and this album sees the band grow to a 6 piece line-up as compared to the 1st album "Make Love Not War" from 2004, which had a Sydney based 4 piece line-up. The 2 songs from the album that received the most attention was "Elephant In My Soup" and "Cry Cry Baby".
Because Vanderby is one of the best and most impressive rock Hammond organists in Australia, and aruguably the world, this album features a very angry 1959 Hammond C3 organ with 2 screaming 925 JBL Leslies. Along side Vanderby is Gina Woods - Wurltizer electric piano/Prophet synth, "KIng" Con Patogiannis - guitars/vocals, Geoff Brown - bass, Miam Lentini - drums, Anni Lang - percussion/vocals.

The album takes the listener on a journey of the demon Vultress as it weaves through turmoil and destruction through to grandeur and bliss. The whole album rocks and the song "Winter's Day" is especially wonderful With It's Spanish flavour contributed by guitarist "King" Con Patogiannis.
