Virto Commerce

Virto Commerce is an open source Microsoft ASP.NET based e-Commerce platform built using AngularJS platform. It is available under Virto Commerce Open Software License and was officially launched in 2013.

Positioning

Virto Commerce is designed to be implemented by medium to large companies looking to launch B2C and Business-to-business ecommerce solutions and utilizes Microsoft .NET 4.5 and other technologies including Razor, Liquid, AngularJS, Elastic Search, Lucene and Entity Framework 6. Virto Commerce has enterprise and community editions. The community edition is the perfect solution for SMB customers with the community support, while the enterprise edition ensures successful implementation and includes the premium features additional to the features found in the community edition with the priority support.

History

The product was developed by a team of distributed developers located in the United States and Europe. Team mostly consists of people who previously created and developed Mediachase eCommerce Framework which was acquired in 2012 by Episerver and renamed EPiServer Commerce.
