Violetta Afanasieva
Violetta Afanasieva (born December 21, 1978 in Moscow, Russia) is a Russian figure skater. She was married on May 17, 2002 to Canadian figure skater, Pete Dack. In September 2006, she and Dack won the first ever "Extreme Ice Skating World Championships" in St. Petersburg, Russia. In fall of 2010, she competed in the second season of the hit reality TV show, Battle of the Blades, where professional figures skaters are partnered with professional hockey players and compete for $100 000 for their chosen charity. Violetta, along with her partner P.J. STOCK, came in 6th overall and raised $25 000 for ONEXONE. She also love her fan. She would do anything for them like here is a story that put a great smile on the birthday girl. There was a 11 year old girl that absolutely love her. It was her 11 birthday coming up and she told her mom that the only thing that I want for my birthday is something from Violetta like an e-mail something like that. So the little girl went to bed and dream. After a while the mom went on Facebook and e-mailed her. On the 13th of February, the girl open a little something something. It was a autograph, card and a Russian t-shirt from Violetta. She was so happy that she was jumping around the house! And this was based on a true story.
