Vincent L Berry

Vincent Le’Carl Berry II (born August 1, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter, composer and record producer who has written/produced for: Canadian Pop Sensation, Kreesha Turner, Shana Wilson, Grammy-award winning Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Tim Bowman Jr,

JDS, Gayle Brannan, Mitchell Jones of legendary gospel group Commissioned. He was born and raised on the eastside of Detroit, Michigan. He currently resides in Atlanta, where he is pursuing is B.A. in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance at the Morehouse College.

Berry is the founder and president of Cleftone Productions, LLC, an American music production company, specializing in pop, R&B, country, gospel, and worship music.

Musical style and influences

Berry music influences consist of such music creators as, Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Pride, Rodney Jerkins, Barrett Strong, Smokey Robinson, Holland-Dozier-Holland, Sam Cook, Rascal Flatts, Craig Wiseman, Michael Jackson and R. Kelly.

Motivated by many panels of several music industry professionals encouraging songwriters to limit their target markets, Berry made it a point to develop his ability to write across many genres. Today, he is widely respected for his innovative approach towards song creation and his ability to navigate between genres, without sacrificing the integrity of each prospective genre.

Music career

In 2006, Vincent Berry was selected out of over 14,000 submissions world-wide, as a quarterfinalist in two (2) genres, gospel and R&B. Confirming that he could compete at a very young age, with other songwriters across the global market. Berry has contributed to several highly anticipated projects such as, "Never Let Me Go" on three-time Grammy Award winning Gospel music legend, Karen Clark-Sheard's fifth studio album, All in One and unreleased Kierra Sheard track entitled "Ready to Go". Berry also developed and produced the debut album entitled "The Nations are Waiting" for Contemporary, Worship sensation Shana Wilson, who has become a house-hold name throughout the Mid-west Region. Berry co-produced and co-wrote "I'll Try" for Tim Bowman Jr's forthcoming debut album. Berry has penned songs for producers such as Wrightrax, (Big Sean, Mike Posner, Musiq Soulchild), Chuck Alkazian, (Eminem, 50 Cent, The Dave Matthews Band, Elton John) Infinity, (Mary J Blige, R Kelly) JDS (Star Trak Entertainment), Tim Bosky (Monica, Young Jeezy, Chrisette Michele.
