The Viet Nam – Romania Friendship Association (abbreviated as VIROMAS) is a voluntary social organization dedicated to fostering relations between the people of Vietnam and Romania. As a member of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, it serves as a bridge for Vietnamese citizens who have studied or worked in Romania and those interested in bilateral cooperation.

History and Objectives

Founded in 1991, VIROMAS operates to strengthen mutual understanding and multifaceted cooperation. Its primary missions include:

  • Promoting Vietnamese culture and achievements to the Romanian people and vice versa.
  • Assisting in economic, educational, and scientific collaboration between organizations of both nations.
  • Hosting annual commemorative events for the National Day of Romania (December 1st) and diplomatic anniversaries.
