Vauxhall Cavalier 1.7TD
The Vauxhall Cavalier 1.7TD was an engineering marvel due to the fact that it used a 43MPG diesel Isuzu powertrain. it created 101HP and topped 127MPH and took the lucky driver from 0-60MPH in 10.3 seconds. The Cavalier would keep going until (if driven in a sensible manner) last for around 1,000,000 Miles. Whats more it was created in 1995 (M reg). This moment in time was quite scarce to diesel cars and packed quite a punch for its time. Of course now it is classed as a simple family car the gets bumped and bashed aound to tescos and back with the dog sat in the back barcking and drooling on the seats. But underneath the Isuzu 1.7TD engine was a land mark in engineering econimy and help start an era of enviomentally friendly madness.
