Valerie Tan

Valerie Tan is a tv host, events host, print and commercial model from the Philippines.

Valerie Tan's full name is Valerie Roxas Tan. She is of Chinese descent having finished high school in Saint Jude Catholic School, a prestigious Chinese school. She graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a course in Communications Technology Management.

Valerie is a Senior Apprentice of Gantimpala Theater Foundation, having done lead and support roles for the company.

She is a print and commercial model, having done lead roles for Pond's, Palmolive Circle of 10, Smart Broadband, Skyflakes, and Wal-Mart. Her commercial for Pond's aired in the Philippines and Cambodia. Her Wal-Mart ad aired in the States.

A true Q Channel 11 original talent, Valerie was discovered in the reality job search program, May Trabaho Ka!, where she bested hundreds of other competitors in the search for Q's next on-cam talent.

She became an anchor and segment host for "Sapulso" on Q-11, alongside Ivan Mayrina.

In 2008, "Sapulso" revamped into "The Beat", and Valerie Tan remained as a segment host.She brings her charm, beauty, and intelligence into The Beat, as she takes on the roles of resident insider on the latest fashion and trends, tour guide to the hippest places to see and be seen in, and discoverer of the most amazing Filipino inventions! In 2009, she was chosen as a segment host of "True Stories" hosted by Vicky Morales.
