U.S. Sellero Novelle 2000
The Unione Sportiva Sellero Novelle 2000 (Sport Union Sellero Novelle 2000), also knowed as Sellero Novelle, is an Italian football club located in Sellero, Lombardy.
It currently plays in Promozione (Girone Lombardo C). Its colors are green and white.
History
Founded in 1989, the U.S. Sellero Novelle spent its first season in Terza Categoria (the last level of Italian football championship).
When Sellero's comune bought the team, it won three championship in three years (in order Terza Categoria, Seconda Categoria and Prima Categoria), and in 1994 it started its first season in Promozione.
After three seasons in Promozione, in 1997, the team was promoted to Eccellenza after a deciding game with Sarnico F.C..
The club finished last in 1998, but acquired Real Tecnoleno's sport rights to mantain the category (Real Tecnoleno had failed) and in 1999 it arrived 5th. Anyway, the society failed and in 2000 the team relegated to Promozione.
Founded for the second time the team had incostant results in Promozione (8th in 2001, 2nd in 2002, 3th in 2003, 5th in 2004 and 12th in 2005).
Sellero won the relegetion play-off and it's now playing in the Girone Lombardo C.
