Upper Peninsula Arctic Blast
The Upper Peninsula (U.P.) Arctic Blast is a semi-pro football team. The Arctic Blast are a part of the Eastern Division of the Northern Elite Football League. The Arctic Blast are based out of Norway, MI but also play home games in Powers, MI. The Arctic Blast has been a football team in the Norway area since 1991.
2008 Season
The Arctic Blast finished 3-5 in 2008 earning a playoff berth. In the first round of the NEFL playoffs the Blast lost to the Eau Claire Crush 28-3. The Crush went on to lose Elite Bowl I to the Superior Stampede. Twelve members of the 2008 Arctic Blast team were named to the NEFL All-Star squad for the Eastern Division.
2009 Season
The Arctic Blast had a down year in 2009 finishing the regular season 1-7 overall with no playoff games.
