UFC 149 is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by Ultimate Fighting Championship. It is expected to take place on July 21, 2012 at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Background
The event will be the first that the UFC has hosted in Alberta. Former Zuffa partner World Extreme Cagefighting hosted an event, WEC 49 in Edmonton in June 2010.
UFC Featherweight Champion José Aldo is expected to defend his title at this event against a yet determined opponent .
A bout between Mark Muñoz and Chris Weidman is expected to take place at this event or at UFC on Fox 4.
