Twas the Night Before Mxymas

"Twas the Night before Mxymas" is a fourth season episode of the television program Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. This episode features fan favorite villain, Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Summary

Clark tries to get Lois to see the magic in Christmas while Mr. Mxyzptlk, a being from the fifth dimension, plans to take away hope by repeating Christmas Eve day. Clark learns AbOUT this by confronting him in the Daily Planet elevator. As the day repeats itself, people's attitudes change (by them becoming less polite and World peace talks called off). As the day repeats itself more and more and Clark gets more and more frustrated, Mr. Mxyzptlk tries to make a bargain with Clark: If he leaves Earth, Mxyzptlk will give the people of Earth back hope, and become their god. Clark refuses to leave and with Lois' help, tries to restore hope before the day repeats itself again. Even though Clark and Lois restore a little hope, Mxyzptlk still was gonna repeat the day but Clark had a backup plan. Before, he and Lois discovered that to send Mxyzptlk back to the fifth dimension, you have to get him to say his name backwards. So Clark gives Mxyzptlk a present and gets him to read its from Kltpzyxm (Mxyzptlk spelled backwards) and Mxyzptlk is sent back to the fifth dimension. After that, Lois finally sees the magic of Christmas.
