Tuniac

Tony Million wrote the original version of Tuniac sometime before 2004. Tony coded NAD (media player) and Audio Enlightenment, the mp3 decoder used by Sonique.

History

Tuniac and it's sourceforge page lay dormant until the death of Sonique prompted Bits, one of the members of the Sonique forums, to revive the project. Bits added minor things here and there but it wasn't until another Sonique forum member named Blur started adding code that things took off.

Blur and Bits helped get people interested in Tuniac, which in turn piqued Tony's interest in the project. Tony took over from Blur, which appears to have upset Blur and he disappeared from the project. Tuniac started getting some polish, with features being added over time. Tony then decided to do something ambitious and rewrite the underlying library and create Tuniac2.

Unfortunately Tony's interest went elsewhere and both projects have become stagnant. Both Tuniac and Tuniac2 CVS repositories are available online.
