TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism

TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism is an online American lesbian feminist periodical. First established in 1982 under TRIVIA: A Journal of Ideas (print), the magazine features essays, reviews, poetry, prose, visual art, and various other creative forms.
Background & Content
Deriving from the Latin term "tri-vium" (crossroads), TRIVIA based its title on one of the names of the Triple Goddess. The magazine was established based on the founding collective's conviction that women's values, ideas, and works have always dismissed to the margins of patriarchal history and thought.
Now in its online form, TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism is "a place at the crossroads where women’s ideas and experiences can assume their original power and significance." The magazine publishes articles to provoke creativity and critical thought using feminist voices. They recognize and discuss various creative forms such as poetry, stories, and visual art.
TRIVIA: A Journal of Ideas (1982-1995)
TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism was first established in print form under the name TRIVIA: A Journal of Ideas. It was founded by a group of women from Amherst, Massachusetts in 1982. According to the magazine's official website, TRIVIA began when the founding collective met every other week to discuss literature and philosophy in a feminist context.
The editors of Trivia: A Journal of Ideas include Lise Weil (issues 1-11 and 13-18), Anne Dellenbaugh (issues 1-5), Linda Nelson (issues 10-18), and Erin Rice and Kaye Parkhurst (issues 19-22).
Their commitment and dedication to the print publication eventually led to awards and the journal's international distribution. TRIVIA: A Journal of Ideas published a total of 22 issues before ceasing in 1995.
TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism (2004-active)
The journal's online relaunch in 2004 was initiated by MeLissa Gabriels, who also designed the official website.
