Trip on the Road
Trip on the Road is a how-to series, currently in its third year, on budgeting road trips for college students.
2007
The inaugural Trip on the Road took place in December of 2007. Two university sophomores and three juniors from various Floridian universities took the route from Weston, Florida through South of the Border, Manhattan, Montreal, Quebec and finally to the slopes of Mont Tremblant.
The original creators believe that every member of Trip on the Road share values of comradeship and adventure.
2008
The second major Trip on the Road took place in summer of 2008. The Trip on the Road consisted of two sections: Bonnaroo, a multiday music festival in Tennessee followed by a city-stay in Chicago. This trip was performed by three of the original members of Trip on the Road
The second Wintertrip (sub-sect of Trip on the Road) took place in December of 2008. It included three original members and two additions, students from the University of North Carolina and University of Florida. Of the two new members, only one was fully integrated into the comradeship. Nevertheless the trip took place, taking the students up the coast of the eastern United States. Destination cities included Washington D.C., New York, NY, Montreal, QC, and Toronto, ON.
Recent Developments
The original members of Trip on the Road are currently in ProgresS of creating Trip on the Plane, a similar series of trips that are designed for students to travel abroad. One of the original creators, Jeremy "J-bone" Ruder, is also creating an itinerary for a new project called "Life on the Road." This project features a budgeting design for travelers who are interested in taking a full year trip around the world. The first Life of the Road trip will take place in 2011.
Another of the original members, Mike "L-nub" Luongo, is taking an extended break from Trip on the Road and is progressively working on a gaming website, called <<http://lnubgames.com/>>.
