Transistor Rodeo

Transistor Rodeo began as a songwriting partnership between Bob Jordan and Doug Goldberg in the Philadelphia area in 1996. In 1996-97 they recorded their first CD "Plastic Palomino" with musicians Tim Reeder (drums) Amy Connelly (violin) and Phil Smithburg (bass).

Following the completion of the CD in 1997 Jordan and Goldberg formed Transistor Rodeo to perform live shows with Reeder on drums and Joe McClure on Bass and Judy Burke on violin. The group performed in clubs regularly and in 1999 recorded their second record, "White Trash Honeymoon". Following the release the band played several high-profile shows to promote the CD.

They continued to play club dates until 2003 when they began recording their third record, "Going out in Style". The recording took 3 years to complete. Following the release in 2006 the band continued their performance schedule until 2008 when drummer Tim Reeder left the band and was replaced with Rhondo Gillam. The band continued live dates until 2010 When violinist Judy Burke departed the band and was replaced with Heather Keller.

The band continues to perform club and festival dates and celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2017.
