Tom Juengling
Tom Juengling is known for having the distinction of being the Rosie Reds' first male president, and, as of 2014, being the only male president in its history.
Rosie Reds president
In 2004, Juengling won election as the 21st president of the Rosie Reds, becoming the organization's first ever male president. The Rosie Reds, which stands for Rooters Organized to Stimulate Interest and Enthusiasm, was formed in 1963 and had only had female presidents until Juengling. Before becoming president, Juengling had served on the board of trustees, then as vice president. After his three year term as president, he was replaced by Tammy Little, who had served as vice president under Juengling. Each president is limited to a three year term in the Rosie Reds.
Rosie Reds historian Janet Mueller has stated that Juengling did a "good job" while serving as president.
Of his involvement with the Rosie Reds, Juengling has stated, "I don't think the ROSIEs have made me a bigger Reds fan, but they have gotten me involved. I love doing the little things at the events, helping out wherever I can, selling raffle tickets, giving tours of the park during our Ins and Outs event."
Personal life
Juengling works as a "draftsman/technician" at a civil engineering firm. He is a member of the Cincinnati Vintage Baseball Club, sometimes working as a field officiator.
