Title (band)
Title was formed in the mid-1990s, and has been a mainstay in the Canadian electronic and syth-pop scene, largely due to the talents of co-founder Hugo Bugg. The Juno nominated songwriter/producer, he has also worked with The Petit Project, Ivan Doroschuk of the Men Without Hats, and the Boomtang Boys. Influences have been listed as varied as Depeche Mode to Oasis, though Hugo's song writing leans very much towards the synthpop/electronic style of music. The other half of Title is front-man Allan Best, recently known for his radio performances through the on-line social community Habbo Hotel.
On-line Communities and Title
In recent years, Title's appeal has arguably been driven by its exposure through on-line communities such as MySpace, Facebook, and Habbo Hotel where many of its fans are found. This is perhaps due to the duo's work within these virtual worlds. As an example, virtually all of the duo's work is available on-line rather than in traditional music stores.
2007: There are rumours Title will be back in the studio in 2008. A previously unreleased song has appeared on You Tube.
