TIC Summer Camp
TIC Summer Camp, or simply TIC, is an ACA-accredited summer camp in Bethesda, Maryland, and McLean, Virginia, in the United States.
History
Karen Rosenbaum, Ph.D., founded Technology Instruction Corporation (TIC) in 1982. TIC has been accredited by ACA for all of its 25 years, and is licensed as a camp by the state of Maryland. TIC has a full time health care provider, a doctor on call, and many staff members are certified in First Aid and CPR.
Logistics
TIC features four two-week sessions at two sites in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Campers spend half their time working with technology and the other half participating in athletics.
Campers can choose from a variety of technology options: programming, video, web, robotics, newspaper, animation, music (midi), photography and more. The most popular technology option is programming, especially using Microworlds Logo.
TIC Maryland is also the founder of Spartan Ball.
