Known to regulars as just "The Wheel", The Wagon Wheel is well liked for its history in [[Lawrence, KS]] and the [[University of Kansas]], as well as its jukebox, and $2.50 [[Coors Light]]. After a night at the Wheel patrons can go to the attached [[Wheel Pizza Company]] for a slice of cheese, pepperoni, or hamburger. Common condiments include honey, ranch, or parmesan cheese.

Bar-goers leave their mark on the bar by signing the walls, ceilings, booths, bar, and bathrooms. Every Friday night before a KU home football game the bar band comes and plays the school's Alma Mater and the fight song, [[I'm a Jayhawk]].

It is the home of The Famous "Wang Burger", which is referenced frequently by [[Scott Van Pelt]] on [[ESPN|ESPN's]] [[SportsCenter]]. Local and national celebrities often patronize the Wheel when in Lawrence.
