The Trojan Warfront
The Trojan Warfront is a Tampa, Florida-based metal band. Created in 2005 as Woke Up Dead, and renamed The Blood Between after an embarrassing failure, the "813 branded" band is a surging attraction in the Tampa Bay music scene.
Woke Up Dead
"Woke Up Dead" was founded in October 2005 with members Kelvin Hampton (drums), Jonathan Rivera (guitar), Spencer Andrews (bass), Jeff Dominguez (guitar), and Jeremy Rivera (vocals).
The Blood Between
Formed in March 2006, The Blood Between began to accumulate more fans than Woke Up Dead ever dreamed of having. However, The New lineup featuring Josh Monell on guitar replacing Jeff Dominguez ignited controversy through out the band.
There were also problems brewing drummer Hampton and new guitarist Monell. Kelvin was once said to the media, "Josh is a [...] parasite. He just feeds off of everyone." While fans were attracted by the new sound, The Blood Between played few shows during its three-month lifespan due to internal turmoil. Jeremy Rivera was eventually kicked out of the band, and Jonathan, sticking to his word, quit. The band lasted AbOUT two more weeks and disbanded in June 2006 at the height of its popularity.
The Trojan Warfront
By August 2006 the original members of Woke Up Dead (Kelvin, Jeremy, and Jon) were missing the stage and the music. They came back together to give music one more shot. Jonathan brought back bassist Dominguez and brother Jeremy on soundclips and vocals. Jonathan also brought in a new member, Neil Hagedorn. Jonathon had known Hegadorn as bassist and backup vocalist from indie band Joe Fransisco, and was curious to see the 6'4" beast as frontman. To complete the lineup drummer Hampton brought in Alex Roman, for whom Trojan Warfront was his first band, as lead guitarist.
