The Society of Invisibles (album)
The Society of Invisibles is the self-titled debut album by Phoenix Hip Hop collective The Society of Invisibles, released July 25, 2006 on Babygrande Records. The album was originally self-released by the group on self-owned Geist Audio Records, then was re-released with national distribution by Babygrande. The album is produced entirely by The Dead Beats collective, which consists of Erel the Rkatec, Plan B, Eddie Satan, Annex and The Premonist. Vocals are provided by group members Facecrushers Inc., Darkwater, Terminator Tragic, Sneaky Pete and Rok.
TSOI received mixed reviews by critics. While the album's dark production received acclaim, its extremely violent and shocking lyrics regularly garnered criticism. Despite the mediocre reviews, the album was popular with fans of Horrorcore Hip Hop. TSOI spawned one single, "Dial M for [...]" b/w "Watching You". The latter featured a music video, as did the track "Hack Pack".
