The Siren (musician)
Kaisi Berick (born Casey James Berick; May 24, 1984), stage name The Siren, is an American audio frequency scientist, music producer, composer, singer-songwriter, and activist. The Siren is best known for the invention of a genre of music called Epicstep. He has made appearances in LA Weekly and MTV.com
The Siren was also the first producer to start mixing metalcore and dubstep together in a single song and the first EDM artist to incorporate radical activism into his dance songs by inserting revolutionaries' speeches or his own lyrics regarding the disclosure and transparency of subjects like: politics, science, space, free energy, foreign affairs, and constitutional rights. This has gathered attention from various famous activists by showcasing them in his work such as Alex Jones of Infowars.com, Abby Martin of RT News, Jacque Fresco of The Venus Project, Peter Joseph of The Zeitgeist Movement, and Christina Tobin of the Coalition for Free and Open Elections.
Epicstep
Epicstep is an EDM formula of combining many electronic music genres into one, consisting of build ups, drops, tempo changes, and vocals. An example would be electro, nintendocore, dubstep, metalcore, and 8-bit circuit-bending fused together into a single track with minimal singing and/or screaming vocals. Epicstep is noted as being a dichotomy of very calm to very aggressive, or a roller-coaster of energy per track. To be a proper epicstep song, the track must have a dubstep and electro part included, plus one other genre.
Activism
The Siren is on the forefront of incorporating important messages in his music that affect all humanity no matter their race, gender, or creed. Subject material in his lyrics and imagery in his videos usually pertains to the disclosure of free energy, extraterrestrials, government corruption, media propaganda, conspiracies, banking institutions, and the overall informing and educating the public on how they are being manipulated and lied to through mainstream television, radio, and other sources of national and international agencies. He has been involved with Infowars.com activist contests, The Zeitgeist Media Festival, United We Stand Festival, and other various related events. His belief is to reach people by giving them bits and pieces of information at live shows and on songs that may plant the seed for people to want to search for the truths by sparking the idea through his music.
Publicity
The Siren produced an epicstep song with Vita Chambers called Fix You in late 2012.
Fix You
Featured on MTV Buzzworthy top 5 songs of the week on December 19, 2012. Writer Brad Stern said, Fix You is our first taste of new music from Chambers, and it's a monster. The surging club-pop stormer sees the songstress wildly yelping her way across manic beat breakdowns: "I can't stop how I'm feeling, it's like I need you/ And if you let me, I can fix you," she cries out on the in-your-face banga before the song dives into wild, warped, dub-y dimensions, nearly bursting at its seams. That's one way to make a first impression! -- " Early feedback on "Fix You" is saying that it will be a big hit! This is a hot record for the clubs, let us know what you think!"
Featured on The Global Playbook site's 5 hit songs of the week on December 31, 2012. Writer Adrian Randall said, "Vita Chambers‘ new single Fix You is a really cool dance track with a dubstep influence which works perfectly. Vita Chambers is an Electro-Pop artist out of Barbados and has teamed up with The Siren who have coined the genre name “Epicstep”. The Siren bring an amazing beat and some awesome electro interludes to Fix You which make for a memorable bass line. It has some slightly harder sections to the song but this breaks up the song perfectly and Vita’s vocals bring the song together making it a seamless collaboration. Awesome track and can’t wait to hear more from both of you!"
Featured on EDM Lounge site on January 11, 2013. Writer Sierra Rose said, “I am excited to see what else emerges from Chambers in the future and with other mixes already appearing from artists such as The Siren, this track has the potential to really make Chambers' career in the genre.”
The Siren appeared in LA Weekly numerous times for Perish's Studio 69 EDM events.

Early Music
The Siren started out as an industrial/metal based artist in the late 90s in high-school bands. Afterwards he continued to perform heavy metalcore music eventually becoming the first artist to start mixing dubstep and metalcore together in a track. The music consisted of chunky mathematical guitar and drum patterns with 8bit nintendo sounds mixed in, and the occasional dubstep breakdown towards the end of the tracks. The siren wrote and performed in many bands throughout northeast Ohio like Fascia, Symphony of Sirens, and Divine Luna. These bands while local to Youngstown, Ohio, played shows that were part of Slave To The Metal tour with Mistress Juliya of Fuse TV and Warped Tour in mainly Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA. During this period, The Siren would perform solo electronic music he produced in downtown Youngstown once a week. That music was the early experimentation of what is now Epicstep.
