The Siegfried Group is a professional services firm that provides professionals to Fortune 1000 organizations, including two Big Four audit firms, to assist in a variety of accounting and finance related projects. Headquartered in Wilmington, Del., The Siegfried Group currently has 16 locations nationwide and employs more than 275 people.
History
The Siegfried Group was founded in 1988 by Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., who first established the company as a three-person traditional CPA-firm. The Siegfried Group’s business model evolved when in 1995 it assisted DuPont in staffing the financial carve-out of a textile and fibers business entity that the chemical company had sold.
The Siegfried Group gained national attention in 2003 when it began a partnership with Big Four audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. This partnership led to the national expansion of the firm and a period of rapid growth.
Recent History
In 2012, The Siegfried Group was named to Inside Public Accounting's Top 100 Accounting firms, moving from No. 69 to No. 48. The Siegfried Group also topped the chart of the fastest growing firms, posting a 59% increase in year-over-year revenue from 2010 to 2011.
