The Shops at Lake Havasu
The Shops at Lake Havasu is an open air regional shopping mall located in Lake Havasu City, AZ off of State Route 95. The mall will also serve Kingman, AZ, Bullhead City, AZ, Laughlin, Nevada, and other parts of the tri-state area.
Anchors include Dillard's, J.C. Penney, Petsmart, Wal-mart which is not attached to the main mall area, Michael's, and UltraStar Cinemas. Most anchors are a small walk from each other, but all are in the general vicinity. In addition to the anchors, many specialty stores and a few eateries will occupy this mall.
History
Building a mall in Lake Havasu City was a dream for many that became reality in early 2007 when builders broke ground for a open air mall. Finally, in March 2008, the first anchors opened. On March 5, a Dillards opened, a first for Lake Havasu City. On March 9, an all new J.C. Penney opened which was triple the size of the previous. March 17 marked the opening of an all new PetsMart, also a first for Havasu. A Super Walmart opened June 11. The mall should be fully open by the end of 2009.
