The Rock Poster Society
The Rock Poster Society (TRPS) is a group of rock poster collectors, artists, and dealers united by their common appreciation of the poster art form. TRPS is organized as a California non-profit corporation and it is based in the San Francisco Bay area. It publishes a quarterly newsletter and organizes two poster shows a year. The Spring show, called “Rock Art by the Bay,” features poster artists only. The Fall show, called the “Festival of Rock Posters,” includes dealers, artists and collectors. Among the artists featured at the 2006 Rock Art by the Bay show were Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley, John Van Hamersveld, Randy Tuten, Lee Conklin, Randy Chavez, Nels “JAGMO” Jacobson, Mari Tepper, Mark Behrens, Gary Houston, Gregg Gordon, Paul Imagine, Michael Michael Motorcycle, Arlene Owseichik, Chris Shaw, Ron Donovan, John Seabury, Pat Ryan, Jimbo Phillips, Chris Peterson, Dennis Loren, Dave Hunter, Joel Elrod, Ryan Kerrigan and John Howard.
