The Resisty
The Resisty is a fictional alien alliance on the animated series Invader Zim. Their leader is the Vortian; Lard Nar, and the crew comprised various other aliens who oppose the Irken Empire. They appeared in the Season 2 Premier Backseat Drivers From Beyond The Stars and were to appear in the untitled two-part season finale, set on the planet Meekrob. The group were named by Spleenk, who also planned their attack on the Massive.
Ship
Their ship is of Vortian design and one of few remaining, the rest having been destroyed when Vort was conquered. It has rapid-fire blasters on its two wings, and a heavy laser cannon underneath, at the back. It is equipped with several escape vessels and 'Shrinky Self-Destruct' technology, which were both used when Zim set the ship on a crash-course with Earth. Though very powerful it is no match for the Massive in a fair fight.
Crew
Lard Nar
A Vortian, leader of the resistance and captain of the resisty's ship, Lard Nar plans to keep the resistance alive until it has grown large enough to tackle the Irkens. He is quick to panic, but won't give up, even when faced with the most difficult challenges.
He seems to be adverse to changing his plans: even when The Massive was rendered defenseless, he sticks with his original plan of stealing snacks, despite the fact that this was a prime opportunity to do some serious damage.
Lard Nar helped in the creation of The Massive, alongside Zim (then a scientist who disregarded the design of The Massive for his Infinite-Absorbing Blob which then killed Tallest Miyuki) and the Vortian who would become Prisoner 777.
Lard Nar was voiced by Fred Tatasciore.
Shloonktapooxis
Second in command and in charge of firing the laser weapon, Shloonktapooxis is an important member of the resistance. He is also extremely stupid. His appearance is that of a floating purple cone with a single curled antenna. His suggestion for the resistance's name was 'The Pirate Monkeys' and said that it was "an awesome name". His own name is a joke directed at the unpronounceable names commonly found in sci-fi shows.
Shloonktapooxis was voiced by Paul Greenberg.
Spleenk
An incredibly stupid member of the resisity. He is full of bad IDeaS (such as attacking Massive and naming the resistance "the Resisty") that Lard Nar uses for some reason. When under stress he seems to have a seizure.
Spleenk was voiced by Rodger Bumpass.
Other Crew Members
The other crew members were never given names, but a fan story called Resisting Authority popularized some fan given names.
- Unknown #1 - This member of the Resisty is a little green blob who frequently vomits all over herself. She looks similar to the mascot of the restaurant Shloogorgh's Flavor Monster, and thus is possibly from the same species. Her popular fan-given name is "Mizglorgh".
- Unknown #2 - This member of the Resisty has 3 heads. He set the blob creature upright after it fell over. Based on the designs of the scientists for the unfinished episode The Trial, the three-headed alien might have worked as a scientist with Lard Nar on Vort.
- Unknown #3 - This member of the Resisty is an armless, insectoid alien with 4 legs and a horn that protrudes from his chin like a goatee.
- Unknown #4 - This alien wears a cloak that obscures what she looks like. She is the only other female member of the Resisty. Her popular fan-given name is "Ixane".
- Unknown #5 - One of the races to join up with the Resisty is a species with a dented head on a long neck. This race can also be seen on Foodcourtia.
- Unknown #6 - This alien lacks a head, but has its brain floating where its head would be.
- Unknown #7 & 8 - These members seem as though they are not aliens at all, but robots. They hover instead of walking.
- Several Unknown Members - There are a good deal of this type of alien on the Resisty ship. Spleenk pushes through the crowd of them whenever he has something to say.
- Unknown # 9 - Gray-coloured aliens with large heads that resemble toenails. There are several of them working consoles aboard the ship, including the Shrinky Self-Destruct.
