The Politically Incorrect Guide to Hunting

The Politically Incorrect Guide to Hunting is the eleventh book in the conservative Politically Incorrect Guide series. It is written by Frank Miniter, editor of American Hunter magazine and a highly experienced hunter with experience of hunting on five continents.

The book aims to refute popular politically correct myths AbOUT hunting, such as:

1. hunting is akin to [...]
2. hunting necessarily causes species to become endangered
3. hunting is dangerous
4. allowing ownership of firearms causes increased crime

The Politically Incorrect Guide to Hunting also aims to show that hunting has many benefits that are ignored by anti-hunting and animal rights groups (e.g. PETA):

1. hunting prevents people being killed or attacked by potentially dangerous animals like aligators, bears, mountain lions, wolves and deer
2. without hunting, even vegetarians would be unable to eat adequate meals because herbivores like deer and lagomorphs would eat so much of crops that food prices would rise drastically
3. organic farmers need hunting more than traditional farmers
4. hunting protects road and railway vehicles from accidents through collisions with wildlife
5. hunting is the major source of money for wildlife conservation on both public and private land. In such, Hunters conserve more land for animals than reported. By conserving these lands, they have ensured the survival of not just the animals they hunt, but the other species that live in the same habitats.
6. hunters know more about the environment, especially animal behaviour, than most members of environmental lobby groups
7. the increase in the value of species caused by hunting has made the numbers of hunted species increase as the hunted species obtains a "constituency" with a vested interest in its preservation because of the money it brings
