The Patch Bay

The Patch Bay is a professional networking association geared toward helping new college graduates of the audio discipline obtain education and experience as professional audio engineers.

The Patch Bay provides educational and networking services to its members, including educational seminars led by recording engineers and professional recording studios in and around the greater Los Angeles area.

Through its educational programs, the Patch Bay is transforming the entry level experience of being a recording engineer. By shifting the hiring emphasis from a game of survival in Los Angeles to a merit based system, The Patch Bay has interviewed and placed deserving and committed new college graduates in professional audio environments, resulting in a higher standard of quality in the music industry.

The organization is a non-profit collecting minimal monthly dues from its members.

The Patch Bay was founded in 2007 by Eric Markow, a graduate of California State University, Chico.
